My 2021 F150 has been in production status since 8/2/21

My 2021 F150 has been 'stuck' in production status since 8/2/21. It did not have spray in liner, Tonneau Cover, nor anything else special to be added. On 8/4 I was by the dealer advised it was 'built'. Any thoughts on why it's still in 'production' mode?

Mine has been stuck in production for 22 days now. No clue why, I did have spray in liner but cant imagine that has held it for 3 weeks

I can say when my truck was built it sat on in production for close to a month 6/24 - 7/20 . Same with alot of others so its not unusual.

My truck was the same way but from 3/17 till 6/20. It was waiting on microchips. Sounds like the same issue but hopefully you’ll have a much shorter wait time than a bunch of us had.

Also, there is a ton of news out there covering driver shortages. This is pure speculation, but if that's the case, I would imagine some f150s would be placed in queues for shipment to maximize deliveries to certain areas/dealerships before a full load is shipped. Like production scheduling, there are probably many factors that go into this considering which loads go first and where.

There is a NATION WIDE SHORTAGE of spray in bed liner materials. It's not just aftermarket , but "the factory" spray in bed liners as well. Its everyone. That's what happens when an idiot gets elected, that lied, then does the old bait and switch and closes down oil pipelines after they cheat their way in.

Funny thing is my dealer got a truck in on Monday with a 7/18 blend and it had spray in, wheel well and tonneau. Guess he just got lucky though.

When did you take delivery of yours?

Mine has been “in production” since July 8th. 37 days. Dealer told me it’s built as well. I also have no accessories or any of the items that are supposedly delaying production.

Luck of the draw. But ALL 3 of those items can be done by the dealer after delivery. Obviously the spray in bed liner has to be taken somewhere like LineX to be done. But the other 2 can be done by the dealer.

Yeah starting to wish I went that route lol
Edit* just checked the tracker and it finally switched to built! END ETA got pushed back 2 weeks but I’ll take it
