I’ve searched for various keywords to find previous posts but all I can find are ones referencing posts from last summer and people complaining. Getting moldy/musty smell out of a/c vents when I start the truck. This is my 3rd f150 and never had this issue before. I’ve checked the following things: no leaks from pano roof, not wet under passenger side carpet(pulled it up to the center console), a/c drain tube isn’t clogged and drains freely, and changed cabin air filter. I’ve read people have sprayed Lysol in the intakes by the windshield but I don’t want to do that as it seems like a temp fix and I am not a fan of the Lysol smell. Anyone have any other things to try to get rid of the smell? I saw one guy who drilled a small hole in the plastic behind the glove box to access the a/c coils and spray cleaner in there but wasn’t sure if that’s a good route or not.
I don’t use max a/c or recirculate.
