I completely agree with you! I’m still convinced that greedy automaker and dealers also at fault. If the lightning were kept at original price without multiple price increases, people would have bought in a bit more.
1. Get ESP
2. Check for leaks
3. Check oil consumption (especially on the 5.0 so I’ve heard)
I usually don’t get extended Warranty but I suspect I’ll be keeping my truck longer than usual. Higher prices yet removed features just doesn’t cut it for me.
the best I’ve been able to get combined out of my PB is 21.5 mpg… but as far as the 3.0 dmax, most people I’ve talked to average combined about 27/28 out of their ginormous suburbans …. The biggest issue/worry on average seem to be the belt oil pump at the rears needing replacement at 150k, but...
for baby duramax it’s only a $995 option. And for the range on a 24 gal tank, it’s about $24 more a fill up than gas (based on my area prices) but the distance per fill up for a diesel is far more.
again, for the purpose of this thread, having a hybrid option on a small displacement diesel...
completely agree! I think the cost of fill ups is somewhat the same/ slightly lower. DEF is an added cost but if not towing, should be every oil change or so. But diesel overall should have a longer lifespan.
I don’t keep vehicles long enough to find out, but to get the 26/27 combined on a 24...
yeah I’m actually in the market for a duramax Tahoe/Yukon. I’ve met several folks and they love them! Only complaint is hauling with it takes a lot more DEF… which if there was ever to be a hybrid option, maybe it will help with towing & MPG 👍🏽
well they didn’t market it much and from my understanding a bad reputation engine… I mean GM is selling like hot cakes across their 1/2 line up and SUVs… can’t beat 28mpg city on a full size truck
If only ford made a Powerstroke-Boost! Will for sure end EV talks or maybe regain lost EV grounds

Do not use 3rd parties. You can buy any ford plan from any dealer. I Bought mines a couple months ago from Ziegler I was under 36k for the premium plan with lighting option it was $1,600 for the 7 year 100k miles. Reminder that plan starts from the date of purchase!
