i do know if i sit on the tailgate when its down....it will not lift me up  🤗
Hmm mine was down all day and i sat on it a handful of times especially before dinner b/c the kids were ridin their bikes around.

did you lift it up to see if it would power close? or did you just close it manually?

I'm wondering if it would have worked if i had hit the button.

nope i used the fob after that little experiment so 250 lbs 6 foot and 3 inches must be a tad over its limit

I have had this happen exactly one time on my job 1 ‘21 I was not near the truck but walking from the front of the truck, pressed the button and slam! Flew open. Scared the shit out of me to worry that one of my kids could have been by it.

I always use the power open and manually close and have never had it happen again.
make sure it is clear before pressing the key fob.
