Fold-down shifter issues??

My PB isn't here yet, but I've watched lots of YouTube videos where they demo the shifter. They all had too much noise IMO, but nothing like THAT! There's no reason it should make any noise at all. If Ford can't make it as smooth and quiet like power windows, seats, adjustable steering wheel, etc, then they need to trash the design and start over (rotary dial).

Over a week later mine is still at the dealer. They have spent a week trying to get the new shifter programed per Ford's instructions. The system keeps bombing out and not validating the VIN. Ford Engineering hasn't been much help. Sorry but give me a standard shifter and not some gimmicky fold down one. Also while you're at it a manual emergency brake lever would be nice.
