Just got back from about a 700 mile trip up into GA. The truck pulled and stopped without any issue. We stayed in the 60-65mph range most of the way. The only time things got even slightly squirrelly was when semis passed. They'd suck us toward them as they approached and pushed us away when passing. It was a little more pronounced compared to when we rented 250/2500s last year while waiting for the PB to get built. As long as we kept an eye out for them, we could float the steering wheel as needed and there was no sway with our setup. We averaged about 8mpg, stopped every 2 hours, and used about a half tank each time. I definitely wouldn't want to pull anything heavier or longer with this truck. While we are right on the margins for weight, they do pair well together.

Doer of stuff and things.
I don't (currently) pull a travel trailer but I read this through thread twice and found the detailed writeups to be very informative and educational, thank you for sharing your experiences.

I had the Recurve R3 WDH to pull my Lance 2375. The semi truck suck became brutal to the point I almost hit two trucks.
I switched over to an Anderson hitch. What a difference! The truck suck became just a little bump.

I'm intrigued. I'll have to check out some videos on the Anderson. We have the R6 due to it coming with the trailer. Then again, I'm not sure how much semi truck tractor beam suck we feel is normal or excessive.

Like I said, I almost hit two different trucks. Check out “Travels with Delaney” on You Tube. He had the recurve R3 and changed to an Anderson as well

I did watch Patrick's (TwD) videos, but also these two which are good references too.

It was a real easy install. I did have to remove a link to get the full WD to work
