My wife and I are leaving town tomorrow to take a 6 hour road trip into Nebraska. I’m pulling a trailer and am somewhat worried about my payload and overall towing capacity.

Truck specifics: 2021 F-150 Platinum Powerboost. Door sticker below:

Here is a picture of the clearance on the trailer with the load on it. (I don’t believe it to be overloaded, but maybe it is.)

Here is the full load on the trailer. Too much weight? Perhaps I should consider chains.

Chains will be too heavy. Stick with those straps. You should probably add air bags, RAS, helper springs, and still make your wife sit on the yellow bus while towing. The other option is trading it in for a F350 dually before the trip. 🙃
I like your thinking. Was trying to come up with an excuse to get a F350.
