I just read that extended warranty prices are increasing tomorrow, October 1st. I’ve been on the fence about buying one. Anyone else buying one today ahead of the price increase? I was just quoted $1800 from Ziegler for my 2021 Lariat (8 year, 100k, $100 deductible). I wouldn’t normally purchase the warranty, but all of the high tech stuff on this truck scares me a little…

it is a waste if you trade every three years... but with the price of an F150 now.. i am going to a longer cycle - maybe 6 years.. i did a 9 / 100k warranty. It's cheaper than my state sales tax. That is another bucket i am tired of filling every three years too.

I did same vendor. i have upgraded my '22 warranty twice. so you can do that too if you want.

I had been on the fence, but your post basically got me to pull the trigger. With shop rates at 220+hr here and parts and diagnostics getting insanely expensive, it made an arguable case. Ended up doing the rental and lighting on top of it for 10yr 60k. I probably drive 5k per year for the next 2 years at least until I move back across the country.

I just wish the warranties were more comparable to Hyundai off the line. 10 years should be a given with these prices.
