So, I was looking at my saved online build price on the Ford website and I notice the total is more than It was and of course more than my window sticker.

The difference was $645 and I found the increase to be something called Acquisition Fee, with a sub-note S18. I go to the disclosure part and look up S18 and it states the below. I don't remember this when I built and saved it. It does not show up on my window sticker, anyone else notice this?

Is this some kind of new price hike for newer orders?

S18. Acquisition Fee is a charge paid by the lessee to Ford Credit to help cover the cost of acquiring and servicing the account.

  • Acquisition FeeS18 $645

  • Base MSRPS1 $59,755
  • Total of OptionsS4 $13,605
  • Destination ChargesS17 $1,695
  • Acquisition FeeS18 $645
  • Total MSRPS16 $75,700
  • Available IncentivesS3 -$0

Estimated Net PriceS5

I noticed that fee also. I think it is for individuals that lease vehicles only .. that fee was never quoted to me by the dealer

Switch to purchase, acquisition fee is for leases. It's defaulting to leases for now.

Bob I noticed the same thing awhile back. No acq cost listed sepeartely on my build. either Likewise, when I place my oder @ the dealership and negociated price it also was not "listed" on the sales order nor the build sheet.

I can confirm that’s likely what it is. If you go into the price per month tab and switch from lease to finance to should go back to original MSRP.

I noticed that while I was building my truck too. I couldn’t understand why the lease price was several hundred more than the finance MSRP.

Just for shits & giggles, I just did a build on exactly what the dealer ordered for me.
I deducted the acquisition fees and added all of the options to the build
Came out $1000 over what the sheet the dealer gave me.
THEN, I noticed that the 301A option was $1000 less when it was added into the B&P.
So, I ended up with exactly what the dealer gave me.

Just tossing that out there for ya

My dealer told me the same thing. The fee is for those who lease only.
