I picked up my 2023 F150 Lariat 502A from Granger last week. I made the trek back home to California over the past 4 days and totaled 2k miles! The truck was a joy to drive and held up very well to some not so joyful weather conditions.

Made a road trip out of it and visited Badlands National Park, Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood, southern Montana, and finally Sun Valley, Idaho.

The truck has the 5.0 with Max Tow. To answer a question that had been floating around regarding BAP…YES the 5.0 does come with the dual exhaust.

It’s a dirty mess right now but figured I’d post up a few pictures. I’ll post more when the truck is cleaned up.

All cleaned up. Bilstein level, tint, and Line-X will be first up.

I’m curious.The bumpers are painted. Wouldn’t that be the ‘Sport’ package? And if so, why does yours not have the ‘Sport 4x4’ decal? See picture of mine for example.
Or does the BAP change that in some way?

because its a BAP. BAP has a 4x4 all grey and black sticker.
Its not a sport, its a black appearance package

What was your mpg?

Right at 18mpg. The 3.73’s probably weren’t the most ideal for mileage but they sure do give the truck some good acceleration

I’m leaning towards the 2.5” setting, there is quite a bit of rake on the max tow package trucks. I need to measure before I decide for sure. Plan is for some 20x9 Venomrex VR603’s with 285/65/20 Ridge Grapplers

Isn’t it both? Or at least on the XLT and Lariat it is. You’re required to check both option boxes on both of those trims.

I've only seen 4x4 stickers on non sport packages. Bap has fx4 and 4x4 grey/black decals. I could be wrong but I've never seen them.
I was actually going to change my sport stickers to the bap 4x4.

What did you do in terms of any break in with such a long trip? I hope to be picking my truck up at Granger soon and it’s going to be about a 5 Hour drive on the way back for.

I was told by Chip at Granger to basically stay out of higher RPM’s and speeds until 1k miles. Also made sure it got to temp each day before driving. Other than that I drove it like normal.

Wait, You have a 2023 502 BAP with Max tow and were not forced to get the spray in liner? I tried to delete that from my build and was told they couldn't.

Grrrr. The only difference between our builds, at least as best I can tell, is the 5.0 vs the 3.5 EB
