If you are still on the original battery, there’s a good chance it’s the issue. These trucks are real hard on batteries. There’s quite a bit of info on battery consumption on other threads.
One thing not discussed throughout this entire thread, is for those of us who were early adopters of the GEN 14, our bumper to bumper warranties have expired. I have a dealer extended warranty (I’ll never do that again) which will not cover any software issues.
So when Ford pushes an update...
Yea, I said something in the other big OTA forum thread but no one said anything
Sorry, this does not work. I did just about everything you can think of 3 weeks ago when it pushed to my truck. Nothing helps.
I got another request to review the latest Audio update from Ford. So I sent them ANOTHER thumbs down. How is it that these updates are not fleshed out with development vehicles?? I understand that those who agree to be "early adopters" may have some glitches to endure based on individual...
Ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto,… I mentioned this on the mega HUGE OTA updates thread last week and no one said a thing about it. I felt so alone and cast out! 😢
Thank GOD @Davecp114 put this out there. I was about to do it myself.
Identical issue with my 2021 PB XLT 302A with the B&O 8 speaker...
And another thing: Message prompts from any navigation (Sync, CarPlay, etc.) and audio texts from CarPlay now fully cut out the music. Previously, it would lower the volume of the music so the prompt could be heard. Just another thing I'm not real fond of. But mostly, I want my volume back...
I drove the truck to work this morning and did some fiddling. On XM I have the volume at 16 to hear it well over the cabin noise. Any lower and it becomes background noise itself. Not that I ever need to, but I cranked it to Maximum and it was no where near what is used to be.
AM/FM was a little...
I just got it last night and it has messed with my volume. I used to cruise around at 6 and turned it up to 8 for more sound. If I wanted to get loud, 10 and above did the trick.
Now, depending on the source, I need to crank it up double. The worst is XM radio followed by CarPlay, the lastly...
I have been changing oil at around 5K miles but am not freaking out if I go a couple months without. I figured in my case I'm averaging about 20% of my mileage as electric. My last fill up is below. I always put my dash mpg and calculated mpg to verify I have my AFE Bias calibrated as closely as...
The PN on the bulb is 3557R but the Sylvania packaging shows a 3157R.
Be sure to use the "R" for red. It will not look right if you use a clear/white bulb.
$25.99 at Auto Zone or O'Reillys right now. You may be able to find them cheaper online though.
I will add one caviat - when I had my 2018...
Looks nice! I kinda like the 24's. I always thought the LED Tails on the 21 + trucks didn't have enough light exposure rearward with two thin lines. The sides are fine but as others commented, I'd prefer more rearward light.
Being someone who can't leave well enough alone, I put Sylvania Zevo...
Well... lots of opinions on here about the '24. I haven't see the XLT, Lariat, etc. trim levels yet, but I for one kind of like the STX so far.
The 14th gen front headlights had to grow on me. I definitely preferred my 2018 STX's looks more at first. Now, I actually prefer my 2021. Go figure...
I've chimed in a few times on this thread already but can't help myself saying one more thing...
I drove 33 Farm to market road miles into a steady headwind/crosswind at 71mph on the cruise control just northwest of the Dallas metroplex where land gets flat and there are no buildings to break...
I recalibrated my 2018 and now my 2021 to within .2-.3 mpg. I made it trend just slightly higher consumption so I'll always be better after calculating with the Fuelly app.
The 2018 was an STX with 20" wheels, 2.7 EB & 3.55 rear end. The current truck is an XLT PowerBoost with 20" wheels and...
