Anyone install Bilstein 6112/5160 combo?

Has anyone installed this combo yet? Or 6112 with other Bilstein rear shocks? Or even just the coilovers? I’ve seen these on non-Tremors but would like to see how it looks on Tremors specifically due to the already upgraded factory suspension. If so, please share pics and details of what you’re running, ideally with links to the exact parts. Thanks!

I think the Bilstein Ford performance shocks / struts are similar.. lots of post of people putting them on the tremor.

I have this combo on my powerboost and am pretty happy with them; much better bottom out resistance on rough roads, and slightly less body roll.

I also added Roadmaster RAS HD springs to the rear more recently and it has really helped with small bump compliance and reduced body roll even further. I bought them for the extra support while towing, but haven't towed with them yet

Yes! The ride is a night and day difference. IMO worth the money. I did have my dealer do the install so they could adjust the headlights and alignment.

Looking at the shocks on fords performance parts site doesn't look like snap rings are used at all. Did it level the truck out , or does the ass still stick up more is the question? Cause maybe next month I might try the ford perporance shocks myself, will see if local dealer will install or have to goto another dealer for the install.

I had mine set on the 2” setting. There is a 2.5” setting as well but to change it means disassembling the strut.

I had to have a “Ford Performance authorized” dealer, whatever that means install them to keep the warranty after the install. If you weren’t worried about that I bet any dealership can install them.

Why does the Ford Performance site say not to use this kit on the Tremors?

well, I finally got me the 6112/ 5160 but i still have to get the front installed. only got the rears the other day.

I think the reason why it says not to use in the Ttemor is because they consider the stock suspension to be too close to this setup to be worth it. Could be wrong but I thought I read that somewhere

just the finish.. fords have a painted (enamel?) finish with their branding

I feel like the 6112/5160 are already a bit on the soft side, at least for PowerBoost owners.
