Same here every morning when in reverse. 18,000 miles and has been that way for the last 10,000 miles or so. I now usually back in the driveway each night so I can drive out and have a little less squeak.

im assuming it’s some moisture on the brakes in the morning that is doing it. it stops after the first corner I come up to out of the neighborhood. So I’m only annoying my immediate neighbors.

I have a Bronco sport and I and others have the same issue identical to the F-150's described here. They must have changed pad material or something ( supplier etc) seeing it seems to be a more wide-spread thing.

Hi Mike! Could you please send us a PM with your VIN so I can look into the noise concern you have with your F-150?

My brakes squeak when I back out of the garage but don't when I'm driving and come to a stop. My previous truck (Chev 2500HD) did the same .

I barely have a 1k miles on my '21 and so far no issue with brakes for me. However on my 2002 F150 I had the brakes pads replaced after just under 20k. The Ford dealer said it was because the pads from the factory were cheap, don't remember now what type he said there were but I think he said I'd be better off with ceramic. Anyway replaced them with whatever it was they had recommended and they were quiet until about 80k.

Purchased in April. 10k miles. Very squeaky when pulling out of the driveway in the morning. After that initial squeal it goes away. Very annoying.

Easy fix, go down to the parts store and ask for the cheapest pad that will fit your truck. Install them and, viola, no squeak when backing up! Of course, now your truck will take twice as long to stop, especially loaded. They will have half the life and your wheels will be covered in dust. But hey, No 1-sec squeak!

Had the same issue on the rear passenger side. Had the dealer change the pads and it fixed the issue for a couple days. Squeal returned. Took her back in and had them change the discs too and it fixed the issue permanently.

Started at 8k and still squeaks at slow speed. Will address it more when I get angry enough.

The service department just cleaned my rear pads and lubed the slides. That eliminated the noise for one day. Mine squeak going forward or backwards during low speed braking.

To beat a dead horse....every morning, in reverse, 10k miles. Built in Oct '20, bought June '21

Looking at this thread, I guess I will need to start backing in at night...

My Bronco Sport does the same and I assume my F150 will when i get it. Pretty loud when backing out after a cold start, doesn't bother me at all. I call it the whale mating call. Who cares? The Bronco Sport stops like crazy which is all that really matters. The brakes work great so a little squeal when backing out of the driveway is not even a minor inconvenience. To each their own I guess.
