Any tricks to remove chrome exhaust tip?

I have a Ford Performance black chrome exhaust tip that I want to change ands was wondering how to remove the original chrome one? I have to cut 7 inches off the stock pipe after taking off the chrome tip to be able to install the black one.

Grab it with two hands and twist it off. If that fails, get a small block of wood and tap it off.

Shame they don't coat the securing ring to match. Guess, thats a DIY.

I commented before on this kit. Really is a great price for all that’s in that package. Especially if they can get the shocks
