Guys is it possible to negotiate interest rate with dealer? When I ordered in November I was told 2.99% for my PB Lariat. Would really love to be able to get 1.99% or lower if possible once the truck arrives

I have a local credit union that offers 2.24% for 60 months. I'll probably take that deal and keep my cash in high yield equities.

He says that individual dealer allotments only count for stock orders right now because the are so backed up with the retail orders.

Ford announced a couple weeks ago that they were suspending dealer stock orders, so I don't think what your dealer told you is accurate.

Each dealer is different and has a different financial department. How much they value you as a customer vs how much they think they can get is different for each dealership.


Bluesman has a great option there. Local credit unions and banks often have competitive rates. If you have an option of low interest vs higher interest and more rebates look at the loan costs. "Calculator.net" has a great car loan calculator that will allow you to play around with an infinite number scenarios. It shows total cost to buy, taxes, interest paid, monthly payments and then you will have to decide if it works for you. Also be sure there isn't an early payoff penalty in your dealers contract. Sometimes you can negotiate a good interest rate and lower car price but the dealer is counting on making up the difference by charging you over a longer period. (this is getting less and less common but read the fine print.)

In Québec canada we have 0.99% 72 month with ford.. hard to find something better in the other brand .

As someone who’s truck was built 4/1 and is on chip hold with an activate button, no… not good or bad. Just a sign it’s built.

Weird, I also got my “Activate” button yesterday, but still no trear tag - assuming maybe someone needs to do something to get the tear tag and I’ll get that tomorrow.

Do you have the pic of you truck in the FordPass app too?

That's the tag for the PCM - Powertrain Control Module, it's the brains for your engine.
