I am looking at upgrading my stock 275/60R20 Hankook tires to Falken A/T3W (115 load). I get impressive fuel economy now, which is 23 MPG. For those of you running 275/60R20 in the 115 load range (not the LT), how much of an MPG drop should I expect? Also considering Rubitrek, just not much info on them, and also not sure if the MPG is different between them. Thanks all!

I'll be waiting to see results of your test. Looking at doing the same change next year. I do enjoy 20 mpg in the city.

I've been looking for the same answer, I'm planning on trying the rubitrek when the time comes for new tires, I was also hoping to find some real word info, so far I've found nothing ...

Should be unremarkable in that you're just swapping brands of the same size / specs.

Looked at specs last night and maybe 6 lbs heavier so doubt any noticable change. Not like going to LT and gaining 20+ lb.
Going up a size would be more weight but not sure that can be done without rubbing anyway.

I swapped from whatever factory tires were to the Falken A/T3Ws on a RAM1500 and there was no difference in mpg. Waiting till the current tires on my F150 wear down to swap to Falkens again. I'm averaging 24.5mpg with the 2.7L currently.

I just swapped out the General Grappler APT's I had on my truck yesterday for the AT3W's. So far it feels like I'm getting slightly better gas mileage than I was previously. I am averaging about 11.5L/100KM. So about 20MPG overall. Il have to see long term. But so far not much of a difference on my powerboost.

Thanks for updating us! This is encouraging.

How is the noise compared to the Generals? That's the other thing I'm working through with these Falkens.

Funny enough the Falkens feel better on the road so far. But that may be bias since I just replaced them. As for noise I cant say I notice a difference personally so far on any highway driving I have done. The cabin is so isolated these days from noise. I am mostly curious to see how well these handle when winter comes.

I previously had BFG KO2's on my 2010 F150 and I drove the Coquihalla during a snow storm with no problem. Im curious if the Falkens can improve on that. The only thing I have heard might be an issue with the Falkens is they can be tough to balance. Though my dealership had no issues.
