I can not get my trailer brakes to lock up, or provide enough braking force for my setup. Here are the details:
14' +5'V tandem axle aluminum 7' tall enclosed trailer, Electric brakes
second trailer
25' +5V tandem axle aluminum 7' tall enclosed trailer, Electric Brakes
I have had these trailers for the past 5 years and have used them with an 04 F150 with Aftermarket brake controller and I was able to lockup the wheels on both trailers, so I am thinking it something to do with my setup. it does provide some braking force, just not very much and certainly not enough to lock the trailer tires. Any tips to get more power out of the OEM brake controller on the '22PB?
I have tried the following in setup:
-brake strength is on High
-electric over hydraulic
-convention electric/surge
- I have increased the trailer weight up to the max
- all with no luck so far.....
Thanks for any tips or tricks with these new trucks and setups.
