Thanks for pointing out the obvious on that chart Albert. No way to get the 3.55 E-Locker on a 4x4 PowerBoost SuperCrew, so oh well. Now I have to decide how bad I want Pro Trailer Backup Assist, since if I go KR I get the brake controller included. But with no towing specs available, I think I need to pony up for 53C regardless, becasue otherwise I could end up with some lame 7500 lbs trailer limit. Thank you both for the assistance.

Order K11A; for those wondering about negotiation, the "initial" final price at my dealer in Central NC is $69,805 and I asked for GAP Insurance, 60,000 mile bumper to bumper, and 10 free oil changes to be included. I received an immediate acceptance. As they say, never such thing as a great deal but if you walk away feeling good then you've achieved your goal! Hope this helps.

I stand corrected I just did a build out on the 3.5 L POWERBOOST FULL HYBRID engine and it does force the 3.73 Electronic Lock RR Axle on both packages..

I does show the 3.55 gear ratio. You think I’ll notice a big difference from the 3.31 in my 5.0L?

I am new to trucks altogether, so please excuse the dumb question: What is the main consideration around the gear ratio? Is axle ratio the same thing? I am guessing that lower the number - the better the mileage but worse the towing capacity. Is that about right? With 10-speed transmission, does it make that much difference?

I am keeping informed for now. Will be placing my order in January/ February. Need to tow a 5500 lbs 22-ft 5th wheel camping trailer. Have been thinking max tow package + Fx4 Lariat or above . Might end up above if we like the lay flat seats. Would like to look at the truck (have no prior experience) before deciding.

@kavm You have the gist of Gear/Axle ratios..3.31 fuel economy...3.73 worse fuel economy..3.55 is the mid ground and would pull your trailer just fine with any of the engines offered on the F-150

question - this is a very well optioned KR - what made you go with this, vs. a minimally optioned Limited - or mildly optioned Platinum? (I assume) they would have been within a few grand of each other.....
