12/5/22 - Build Week - MY 23

Well, I'll go ahead and kick this thing off. This is actually my SECOND go round...I ordered a 2022 F150 XLT on Feb 3rd, 2022. Received my VIN on May 5th and truck was built on June 8th, life was good. Then the chaos began. The truck shipped on July 22nd but never arrived at the dealership. After multiple emails between myself, the dealer, and the Ford Executive Office, the truck magically showed up on Nov 1st (3 months and change later). I thought the nightmare was FINALLY over.....wrong. I was actually supposed to pick the truck up today but was notified 2 days ago that there was a "stop-sale" recall for the headlights and the dealership would NOT be able to sell me the truck. My options were 1.) wait on the truck to be fixed with an ETA of January. 2.) Order a 2023 and see if it gets built sooner. 3.) Cancel the order and find a truck on my own.

After much anger and gnashing of teeth I settled on option #2 and reordered with the promise of being placed at Priority 10 in the system...that was Nov 8th. Well, to my surprise I awoke to an email from Ford this morning with a VIN# and build week of Dec 5th! What took 3 months last time only took 2 days this time so fingers crossed!

Sure is lonely in here…hard to believe I’m riding solo on this build week so far so I just spoke to Ford chat and they see a current built date of 12/6/22 and get this, they even see an ETA on delivery to dealer of 12/21/22!

If THAT happens, it’ll be a Christmas miracle and I’ll be buying a lottery ticket immediately!

Hope the dealership will be open at that time. Otherwise it will be a sad story that you see you vehicle but cannot take it.

I am also scheduled for this build week. I ordered on 9/13/2022. My dealer is also tending me tentatively that I may receive it by the holidays

Welcome! I was really beginning to think my truck would be the only thing rolling down the line this build week guess they should have PLENTY of available hands on deck to get us delivered by Christmas

Long time lurker, first time poster. Finally got the good news of a 12/5 build week for my truck! Ordered 10/4, Platinum PB 701A. Looks like the 3 of us so far are all PB, coincidence?

Fingers crossed for no chip/part shortages post-build and maybe see this truck before New Years!

I do find it real surprising it's only three of us on here. Let's hope the theme of the week is quality over quantity. I am also curious to see if our orders all being PB is coincidence or not

There are certain weeks where not a lot of people sign in or post on their build weeks. Also it’s pretty common the builds are similar. My build week had like 15 powerboosts

I wouldn’t be too sure…it took me 3 months to get a VIN last time, this time only took 2 days. I’d say we’re doing substantially better this go round
