‘21 Orders on Microchip Hold

Creating a thread to track and see who all has a 21 MY currently on microchip hold at the factory. Include some info on your build if you don’t mind.

I have Space White Lariat Super Crew 501A on order. Order on 7/5. Blend date of 10/19, In Production as of 10/22 at the KC plant and still no status update on any of the trackers since then. Original ETA was 11/15-11/22. Dealer reached out about a week ago and told me the truck was on a microchip hold and still not shipped. New ETA is 12/9-12/15. Tracker still showing “In Production” today so I doubt it’ll be here by 12/15 if it hasn’t shipped still.

Wondering if anyone else is dealing with a similar situation and what your updates are. Also wondering if it’s worth it to put in a ‘22 MY order just for the heck of it and see if it gets here before my ‘21.

Same situation. KC build. Blend date was 11/10 and has been stuck “In Production” since then. Dealer’s status shows Produced but on micro chip hold. Original ETA of 12/2 was bumped to 12/20. Mine is a 2021 lead foot STX, supercrew, 3.5 EB, Copilot 360, interior work surface. Frustrating. It would seem ridiculous if 2022 trucks are shipping out and taking micro chips away from unfinished 2021s, but I guess we’ll see…

In this same group as well. Build week 11/8 Blend date 11/13. Mine shows "in production" with an eta end date 12/20. Confirmed " Activate Vehicle" in ford app and Module site populates as well.

2021 Lariat Screw RWD 3.5L EB, Guard, Baja Tan Console seats - 501 Mid, 360-Degree Camera, Trailer Tow Package, Ford Co-Pilot360™ Assist 2.0, 3.31 Electronic Lock, Twin Panel Moonroof, and Spray-in bedliner.

Interestingly we all have close eta end date.

I orderd my 2021 Regular cab swb XLT FX4 (Lariat option N/A on regular cab) on 8/27/21. I got a window sticker with a blend date of 12/03/21. According to the FORD tracking website it was built on 12/05/21. It show shipped to SC with and ETA of 1/01/22. evidently the Lariat you have ordered must have a chip that the XLTs dont have. Does that stand to reason?

My guess is maybe its the Co-pilot 360, since the few in the thread have that option.

The Co-Pilot 360 is the only thing I’m thinking that could be holding these up. I also have it on my build. At the same time I feel like it’s not uncommon to see other trucks that are being delivered that have the Co-Pilot 360 option
