It should be close, but she could be right. She didn't just use the normal Ford status names, but what it sounds like when she says it's "been picked up in special order status" is "Order Confirmed" on the tracker, and depending where you are in that status you may or may not quite have a VIN yet, but it should be very soon if isn't yet. By the time it moves to the next stage she mentioned, which would correlate to "In Production" on the regular trackers, it definitely will have one.

I emailed my saleslady today and asked if I had a VIN yet for my 5/14 order and got this reply. On the follow up message, she said they haven’t gotten a VIN. If it were “almost ready for build”, wouldn’t there be a VIN?

Once it is scheduled for a production week, then it has a VIN. If you ask for a copy of the vehicle visibility report, then they should tell you if there's a VIN and/or if it's scheduled for a week yet

So it looks like I'm going to be pretty fortunate. The tracker says my truck has been delivered to the rail yard and the dealer says they will receive it in the next day or two. This was a 2/27 order so that puts me at under 3 1/2 months wait time. Felt like a year but its so close!

My VIN is about 400 lower than yours. KC has been shut down for more than a month. Mine showed "in production" and still does, but the ETA has changed to 1990....

KC is supposed to start up again on Monday, 6/14. Hopefully, our trucks will roll off the line in the next week or two.

Well, the saga continues (Vin 1FTFW1E87MFB55161). As a recap, I ordered 12/02/2020, received VIN number in 04/21', truck was built last week of 05/21' and is currently being shipped. I had high hopes of having it by the end of this month (06/21') however my delivery date shows 07/11/2021. Here's the latest goofy part; The final landing place for the truck is central ND. Truck gets built in Dearborn MI (1183 miles by car east of ND), gets loaded on rail, passes through ND & MT and is now sitting in Wenatchee, WA; 1101 miles west of ND! You read that right, it has traveled almost 2,300 miles, passed within 100 miles of the final destination and is sitting almost as far away as when it was built. Who the hell organized those logistics! It should've been offloaded at the Minneapolis/St. Paul ramp. You can't even make this stuff up.

Once mine was built the dates happened way faster than the Tracker indicated they would.
Mine was built 5/27 Dearborn and received at dealer in Western Canada 6/9. So i hope for your sake all the numbers are off and you get your truck soon.

I think who ever you contacted pulled some strings. I was told by Ford today all the trucks in the boneyards are not going to move until September or October. Period.mine was ordered 1/15. Parked there 4/1

Well if anyone out there that has tracker working can you please check Vin 1FTFW1E8XMKE05340 ORDER # F011 , I have tried tracker but is has not changed for a month now. Help please.
