RV electrical system upgrade complete

Just finished installing 600ah of Lithium, a Multiplus 3K and upgraded the solar charger, for the eventual 1000 watts expansion on the roof.

would you be willing to five the list of components used and approximate cost ?

Nice!! Would be good to cover those battery posts, positive and negative are pretty close together.

I don't have the complete total compiled yet, mainly, because there were some incidentals but it will come in around something over 5K plus another for the panels.

These are the batteries. and are, at this writing, still at the price I paid.

I didn't choose everything in it. Had a couple things I wanted to do differently, or not at all.

By the way, just now confirmed, that if fully charged, this system will run the air conditioner for several hrs. at least.

Also confirmed that there is no conflict between this gear and the Powerboost 7.2KW running it.

Nice, is this set up to take 120v power from your PB to charge it up as well?

I was chewing on various brands, sizes and forms and then Will Prowse did a review on a couple of their batteries and really liked them. Then a couple others did some tear downs and a couple others did some installs and tests. Far as I'm concerned, a good size, for a good price, with the right features.

Yep. Just confirmed it a little while ago. Plug n play. No issues at all.

LFP has a nominal voltage of 13.25v so it's 13.25x600a = 7.9 kWh (important distinction, measure of storage capacity, the whole power vs energy thing)

It's a 120v system however and can only charge the batteries at 120 amps as well as output 2.4kW rated (however with external power connected it uses external power for loads up to max input capacity). When connected to the 7.2kW PB, it's only able to tap half of that resulting in a 3.6 (3.8kW max). Basically it can both power the house loads while also outputting 120 amps of charge current. A stand alone charger can be added to tap the PB's other leg and add another 250 amps of batt charging. Probably not worth it if loads and solar are enough to keep the system trucking along.

Also @Davexxxx you need a fuse capable of breaking a 80kva overload. LFP batts are capable of at least a 10x rated ah/current. 600x10x13.3=80kva. Requires a sand filled fuse to break the arc.

Had a big long write up, describing the various components, fuses and their ratings but the either ate it.

So, the short version ...
