Site Visit to Blue Oval City Memphis

Had a long week and had to make a site visit to the Blue Oval City just north of Memphis. Roughly 6 square miles. A lot of work to do for sure. And spied a map that I couldn’t resist getting a pic of. I assume since it is displayed publicly it is good to share??? If not shame on them!

Obviously was not able to walk the site under construction etc and so on…but man this thing is going to be a huge complex.

Added a little two wheel eye candy from Beal Street. Had a huge motorcycle round up going on this week. Couldn’t resist sharing.

There’s doesn’t appear to be anything proprietary about that map. I’m working on the KY site. The battery plants are massive

I agree and that is why I assume it was posted and open to the public inside that mini-Lowes store, and is why I shared. Would love to hear about the KY plant if you’re able to share.

I’ll be going back to the battery plant site in the not so immediate future but will update with pics as I can get them.

Not much to share except to say we’re waiting on equipment from South Korea to install it. Each building is almost 4m sqft and there’s 2 battery manufacturing plants in KY, whereas TN only has one battery plant but also has a couple of assembly plants. The building is being build by Barton malow/Gray and the equipment install is being done by Abel construction. I work for Abel.
