I've got a '21 Platinum coming in a few weeks and trying to decide on a tire size. Planning on doing a 2" level and want to stay with OEM Wheels. Previously I've run 285/60 r20 BFG KO2's, but was considering other options of 275/65 r20 or 285/65 r20. Has anyone got pictures of any of these set ups on their 2021?

My Platinum will be built this coming week and I am planning on the same setup. Photos of leveled trucks are not all that consolidated, but I would suggest starting in the Show and Tell Threads. Some guys post new threads with their builds and others post in the ‘color specific’ threads.

As for size, 295/60-20 seems to be the most popular. 275/65-20 is starting to pick up steam. The 275 is a more common size across manufacturers, so prices are not as steep. A lot of members have gone to aftermarket wheels, too. I am not.

bz-agg is running 285/65-20’s, but has not had his level kit installed. They look nice.

Appreciate the feedback. 295/60’s are a little wide for what I’m looking for and I’m concerned that the 275/65 may look a little narrow. I’m leaning 285/65. Will keep checking posts of other trucks.

What was your order date by the way? I ordered 1/13 and got a vin about 2/10, but don’t have a build date yet.

I ordered mine 1/25, received my Vin on 2/8 with a build date of 2/26. My window sticker popped up this past Wednesday with a blend date of 2/22, so looks like the truck is on schedule. The Ford tracker has never shown the build date, but my dealer had the info. Keep checking https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking#/ for your window sticker, it will indicate the start date of your build (if the dealer doesn’t tell you). Window stickers have been popping up about 5 days before the blend date.

While I’m not shopping tires on a budget, I am likely to go with the best size for the money. If 275/65 is $40 cheaper than 285/65, the size difference is nominal enough to just save $160 and run a 275. I know a 275/65 is noticeably less expensive and made by more manuf. than a 295/60.

Good info. Mine is probably really close to yours. I don’t really like the look of the 295/60 tires, so not an option for me. I’ve run a 285/60 (33.5x11.2) for the last few trucks I’ve had. I like them but want something a little taller. The 275 sounds perfect, but I don’t want them to look to skinny. They’re probably fine and the right tire - I’m leaning that way. Appreciate your feedback.

What’s the Max size tire with a 2” level and 20x9 wheels? I’ve previously ran 285 65/20 and liked that size, but unknown if it will fit without rubbing.

Probably a 285/65 or 295/60 is the max with a 2” level and no rubbing. 35’s probably won’t fit. I’ve seen pictures of a 285/65 with no level which surprised me. It seems like the 21’s have more room. But I’m still waiting on mine.

I think you can fit 35's on a 2" level...someone on here has 295/60/20 ko2's without a level. Ford made it so you can run big tires on these trucks in its stock form.

Iv been bouncing around with 275/65/20....285/65/20...295/60/20 Nitto RG. I saw one in person today with the 295’ on the RG and they looked good. I THINK the 285 would be a good middle ground for a taller tire and to wide but not as skinny as the 275. From what I read I don’t think any will rub but I don’t have my truck get. I already have the 2” ReadyLift at the house waiting. Good post.

The only thing I don’t understand, ready lift claims on their site that you can install up to a 295/60 20. So the 285/65 20 wouldn’t fit??

It’s debatable on if a 295/60 or 285/65 is bigger. The 295/60 is 34x11.6 and the 285/65 is 34.6x11.2. So the 295 is a 1/2” shorter but also a 1/2” wider
Also, ready lift says on a 20x9 wheel and the OEM wheels are 8.5 wider.
I’m starting to lean towards the 275/65 and make sure they fit easily. Hopefully they don’t look too narrow.
