I started work at Ford Motor Company in 2015 and bought my first Ford product a 2018 F150 Raptor. Never raced it or even took it off-road I only have 45620 miles on it and I have only just started having any real issues with it. The transmission is shifting hard and the engine rattles when I first start the vehicle has the company had any recalls for these issues? It's very disappointing

Engine needs timing chains. Very common issue for the 3.5’s. Not sure about the the transmission issue

That's a 2018?
Unlike the Gen1 3.5 Ecoboost, it does not necessarily need a chain. Rather it's the phasers rattling until they get oiled up.

Ford redesigned the phasers for the 2019 model, yet again.

Yep, cam phaser rattle. There are about a billion threads online about it. There has a recall, but it depends on mileage about how much Ford will cover.

You could try to reset the transmission tables with forscan to see if it’s smoother shifting. There were also some transmission software updates a few years back as well.

Search up the raptor forum for your year, and you will find a lot more info.
