SOLVED: For the life of me, I cannot program my HomeLink to open my garage door.

One more thing to add to this post - after multiple fails at programming my new F150 to pair with a 3-yr old Chamberlain opener I called HomeLink customer service and after waiting through all the prompts reached a live person who walked me through things step by step. The trick that worked was to INSTALL A NEW BATTERY IN MY GARAGE DOOR REMOTE! The remote worked just fine opening the garage door with the old battery but she explained it probably wasn't sending a strong enough signal for programming purposes.

my truck was another but similar proceedure...

my truck started with rapid flashing then slow then rapid then off , then hit the learn button on the opener motor the press three times and works ...

what a pain in the butt!!
