Question for F 150 Experts - The specs of a 2021 vs 2022 F150 Platinum Powerboost 4x4 Off Road package

I was working on a deal to trade my 2021 Platinum for the same in a 2022. The deal fell through but here is my observation and question. I parked the my 2021 (a May 2021 build) next to the 2022. The 2022 appears to be just a little smaller overall than the 2021. Without question my 2021 stood a bit higher at the rear than the 2022. The drivers seat (cockpit) area in the 22 appeared and felt just a little smaller and looking from different angles the 2022 overall seemed smaller. No measuring tape. Possible optical allusion on my part and the 21 is White the 22 is Smoked Quartz metallic. Could this be true?

The ride heights and/or rake is influenced by almost any option to some degree plus build variance but anything else you are seeing is just an illusion.

Nope. Identical in size.

However different suspension components are used based on features like 2WD VS 4WD VS FX4 VS CCD........ So height can definitely be different. But not length, width, or volume.

I traded a 2021 Platinum Powerboost for a 2022 KingRanch Powerboost. The 2022 has the longer wheelbase for the 6.5' bed, but that's only the bed length.
