last success update was from May of 2023. I need to check the wifi settings in the truck to make sure it is connecting to my home wifi whenever i park it on my driveway. maybe the weak wifi signal on the driveway contributes to this? After i turn off the truck, does the wifi still connected and OTA still working?

Not a single OTA released to date requires wifi to download.

so how does the update get to the truck? via the cellular network came with the truck?
Yes, sir. I can take a look to see if I anything that can help with your VIN. However, the problem is mostly the unreliable and unpredictable OTA process than your truck itself.

i read something on MachE forum about the OTA issues, someone mentioned there, the car needs to be driven frequently for the updates to install. i only drive mine 1 or 2 times a week, does this play a role in my truck's OTA delay?

You're not alone. My last OTA update was back in February 2023. My truck isn't driven that much either due to inclement weather. I have a 2014 F150 that I drive during those times.

Kinda/sorta. I did a write-up of how OTAs work here:

Long read, but it will give you a better idea of how things work. Yes, the vehicle needs to be turned on to activate the OTA trigger once it gets sent to you, but driving it doesn't mean you'll get an update sent to you.
