The issue with the maintenance plans is that they will not let you do something early. It's by the schedule in the manual.

If you buy the Ford ESP you get to pick the total length of the plan, interval, and type of oil (full synthetic or blend). They divide total plan miles by interval and give a number of changes. Dealer seems happy enough to ding you for an oil change at whatever mileage you want.

Forget Blended oils, buy pure synthetic, the best available 5W30 and change before 10,000 miles with filter like you're a Reverend in a Baptist Church. In your own drive. 5W20 is about Fleet mileage not what you own. Once it is broken in, after the 1sft oil change go 5W30 best synthetic you can get.
Pure synthetics of the Best show (0 wear in the microscopic oil tests ) if changed efficiently. It's obvious that the most import thing to protect are the Chains and Camshaft Crap.

There is no need fir break in. And no, no oil change is covered under warranty.

Of course I got 4 free oil changes whem i bought it so......

I've got a maintenance warranty. Dealership does all the maintenance stuff at no cost if I take it there.

But, it's NOT as perfect as it was the day I first poured it in.
Truth is, I have a fresh oil issue. I love cracking the top and pouring. I love having to look really close to even SEE the translucent oil on the dipstick.
I'm addicted to that feeling I get on the first drive after an oil change.

I'm in the same club addicted to seeing that light golden color on the dipstick.

It takes all I have to wait until 5k though, and then I'm like needing to change it bad.
