MY22 Adding SiriusXM

Looking back in my case after the Forscan changes and connecting the antenna I was able to get the preview channel.

I then had to call in and register the unit with Xm.

Yes no antenna you should get “antenna problem”

Try pulling the fuse or unplugging the electrical connection for 10 minutes then plug in and power up.

My unit showed in their system so I dont think its that. But this is frustrating.
On the acm pull power? I’ll have to remove the entire unit again

No need to pull the acm out. Find the fuse and pull it or remove the battery cable for a few minutes. If the antenna isn’t mounted to the roof make sure you’re facing south when starting the truck and just sit there. At your latitude/longitude you’re going to want it on the roof eventually.

Mine says SiriusXM loading as well but I thought it was because I don’t have an antenna, waiting for it to come in

You might want to look into running the APIM diagnostics once complete to verify you have a signal. (Hold down steering wheel NEXT and radio NEXT at the same time and cancel the audio test that pops up. Flip through the menus until you find the satellite data)

This is why I put the disclaimer in the first post regarding FDRS. When changing the ACM you need to make sure the software revision is the same as what you had before. That could also be a potential issue.

So I’ll try this this morning. If it doesn’t work,do you think a Ford dealer will look at it?
