First off, what I've done here is on the OCD side and I doubt most will do the same. I like fiddling around with the truck. I swapped out the torx bolts attaching the boxlink plates for studs. The primary reason is for attaching other unknown things to these studs. Sure, you can do the same with the bolts. With a Bedrug though it can be a small challenge to find the holes again in the Bedrug. I've just eliminated this possible inconvenience using studs.
One other thing I did was burning in the holes. Originally I just poked a hole and forced the bolt through. I used a spare 1/4" bolt, heated it up, and wallered out the holes just a bit. Now they're easy to see.
Side note...I like the boxlink plates with the Bedrug. They securely anchor the sides of the Bedrug without the need for Velcro. The only Velcro I used was on the bed floor, the head rail, and around the tailgate. I didn't use any on the sides.
