First off, what I've done here is on the OCD side and I doubt most will do the same. I like fiddling around with the truck. I swapped out the torx bolts attaching the boxlink plates for studs. The primary reason is for attaching other unknown things to these studs. Sure, you can do the same with the bolts. With a Bedrug though it can be a small challenge to find the holes again in the Bedrug. I've just eliminated this possible inconvenience using studs.

One other thing I did was burning in the holes. Originally I just poked a hole and forced the bolt through. I used a spare 1/4" bolt, heated it up, and wallered out the holes just a bit. Now they're easy to see.

Side note...I like the boxlink plates with the Bedrug. They securely anchor the sides of the Bedrug without the need for Velcro. The only Velcro I used was on the bed floor, the head rail, and around the tailgate. I didn't use any on the sides.

Yup.... non OCD here... and still a quite admirable work of art! The industrial look with the bolts while the plate floats over bedrug is just amazing. Very well done!! 👏

Ouch. I would constantly be skinning my knuckles on those when I tie a rope to it. Maybe some rubber caps? But definitely a clean look!

That's a good idea. I went down the rabbit hole. I may as well go deeper.

Turns out brake bleeder caps work great. I just so happened to have a bunch of these on hand. It does add a more finished look. Job done.

It's Ford's bed divider. Interested? Buy used $100-150. It's not worth $350 new. I got mine for $125. I'm trying this instead of the split bed extender. Between the two there are pluses and minuses for each. The divider gives me full access to the Pro Power panel ✅. When one is the better option it is easy to switch out.
