Ok. Latest update. I hooked up both power wires out of the mirror to the switched 12v and it only works with key now. Also, hooked up old mirror and it does not dim the side mirror. Working great now.

Last update…not hooking up the 12v always on wire will result in the mirror going back to default settings. Homelink info is still stored but if you wanted to have the compass off, or the dimming feature off, you would have to manually turn it off every time you start the truck as the default setting is on.

Just curious if anyone has had any issues with the compass/dimmer not working. I only plugged in the ground and the 12v constant cable. Wasn’t sure what the 3rd connector was. Perhaps that also needs to be connected to the 12v key on or constant cable?!

Hey!!
These are instructions I followed from Facebook regarding this mirror install and mine works perfectly.

That other wire needs 12V power.
The 3 are as

1 powers compass
1 powers homelink
1 goes to ground
Tie your extra wire into Where you tapped for 12V and you should be set!

Hey thank you so much! I combed through those comments but somehow didn’t see that post. Thanks again I’ll go ahead and do that.

do you think it’s ok to tie that cable into the constant? Would the mirror always stay on?

I have an XL, and I have no wires going to my rearview mirror. Are the necessary wires (grnd, 12v switched, 12v on) still tucked behind the panel, or do I have to find an alternate power source? Also, 2T062-ADU01 is now non-existent... I assume most any homelink mirror will work? Thanks.
