But we send you an in-transit title after purchase (usually 15 days after) that you need to take to the DMV with your purchase agreement. Our ladies in Finance should be able to walk you through the process in detail.

(Excise tax=3%, sales tax =1.25%)<--New cars. It's a little less for used cars. We also don't pay property taxes on cars....just annual registration fees which is like $100-$110 for the first 4 years and then it goes down after that depending on value of vehicle.

Some lenders will provide a "DRO" (Dealer Release of Obligation) which authorizes the dealer to release the MSO (Manufacturers Statement of Origin) to the buyer without collecting fees/taxes. When I recently purchased my truck in Idaho, my lender (Navy Federal Credit Union) provided a DRO and I took the MSO to my home state (Wyoming) and paid the appropriate taxes and fees and received plates and such.
