I like to have easy access to my tools, but I do not like having tools laying on the floor. I was looking for a way to mount my ratcheting cargo bars to the back or sides of my bed. Saw these broom stick holders at work and decided to try them out. I first used double sided tape to test them out. Once I was satisfied with the location, I used sheet metal screws to secure the holders. System works well, cargo bars have not fallen off. It's a tight fit but not too tight.
First photo is without the mounts. Cargo bars just laying on the floor.
Cargo bar mounted on the sides of the bed. I mounted bars on both sides.
close view of the broom holder. 2 per side.
