Help - Sunroof Shade track bent from factory

All - really need your help of what I can do next. I have a 2022 Limited Powerboost only 2 months old. Only recently I fully opened the power shade all the way back. There is a bad bend in the passenger shade rail which is from the factory. The Ford dealer is saying not covered under warranty as it should have been caught in original dealers PDI. Sure - I get it but it is not easily noticed unless you are in the back and see the shade is binding. So …. $85k truck and everyone is saying tough luck. What can I do? Customer service was useless - they called dealer and heard same story over again. Anyone have an inside number or email to help me out? I am sick to my stomach over this.

Find a new dealer. I feel like mine would fix it under warranty with no issue.

I just recently noticed that a piece of trim on the lower part of the center console was not fastened properly. It had a missing clip on the back side. My truck was delivered in January and they fixed it under warranty.

'22 F150 Limited in Star White.
Definitely try a different dealer. That's such an awkward spot that I feel it would require quite a bit of force making a squared dent like that when installed in the vehicle with the window in. They just didn't want to mess with it since it deals with the moonroof.

Wow is Ford customer service really this bad? Coming from Audi and Subaru they would've fixed this no questions asked.

That should be covered under warranty. Find a different dealer.

There's 3 dealerships near you. Ryan (Sealy), Legacy (Sugar Land), and Auto Nation (Katy). Based on what the service dpt told you I'd be willing to bet it was Auto Nation Ford in Katy that fed you this line of crap.... They are notorious for finding any way possible to deny warranty service. Took my 20 Ranger there for a water leak and they fed me a similar line that labor to diagnose water leaks were not covered under warranty that if it wasn't found in PDI then they can't do anything about it unless I paid out of pocket.

I know Ryan Ford in Sealy is pretty good. My father in law has taken his 16 F150 there since he bought it and have always treated him right.

any dealer with auto nation in its title are freakign crooks from florida to california
find a different place.
that took some work to bend that channel .
add in rockwall ford part of the auto One group. they only have one mode and its crappy .
surprised ford sells them vehicles

Folks - quick update. Indeed a new dealer made ALL the difference!!! No fight, just applying simple logic of “It must have been from the factory, no way you did that. We’ll get new rails ordered ASAP for you”.

What a MASSIVE sigh of relief - shame on the other dealer.
