I know it is a long shot to ask on here, but the MKZ forums have basically zero activity, and the fusions don't have the same headlamps.

I just bought a 2017 MKZ Black Label Hybrid that has adaptive headlamps. I have noted that they turn (AKA Bend) and they are certainly projector style. Does anyone know if glare free can be activated on them? I have it on my F-150 and it is REALLY growing on me

going out on a limb as i frequent the same edge and mkz forums for stuff for wifes edge
the projectors are IMO not going to do glare free,
do you have lane centering, AEB, and the adaptive cruise ? if so maybe, bet on finding the info????
those forums are pretty lack luster for info

Yes, the black label is the top trim model and is highly option, including the 3 you listed. I thought about trying 2g fusions, but haven't asked there yet. That might be the only other place that may have that kind of info.

@Livnitup do you have any insight?

Have you hooked up forscan and did a module scan? What modules do you have if so?

I did not pull these from FORScan, but I did pull the as-builts and tried to label the addresses the best I could, as I do not believe the addresses change between models or model years:

7A7 - FCIM
7C4 - SODL
7C6 - SODR
7D0 - APIM
7D5 - DACMC (I think)
706 - IPMA
712 - SCMG
713 - SCMH
714 - HSWM
716 - GWM
720 - IPC
721 - VDM
723 - ???
724 - SCCM
726 - BCM
727 - ACM
730 - PSCM
734 - HCM
736 - PAM
737 - RCM
740 - DDM
741 - PDM
744 - DSM
751 - RTM
754 - TCU
760 -ABS
764 - CCM
776 - SCME
783 - DSP

@ROBB1 any idea if or how to enable glare free on a 2017 MKZ?

I don’t know if it’s capable, but one path maybe to pull the as-built for something like a European EDGE and compare that to the MKZ. Spreadsheet wise the F150 is the best documented.

Ford rolled out glare free in europe back in 2016, so its conceivable the top line MKZ has the correct headlamps.

I have had the same question for a 2020 escape titanium hybred with tech package that gives the LED lighting. But find no support where people are using forscan on the escape

So am I correct in assuming as-built addresses and instructions don’t change from model to model or model year to model year?

Obviously the individual bits will change, but the F150 spreadsheet for the 21+ F150 can also be translated to other models?

They do change overtime, but they seem to retain a lot. For you MKZ I would use the previous generation F150 spreadsheet as a guide since they were also sync 3.

I have been searching and searching and it looks like UK sites do not post VINs. Anyone else know how I could grab as-builts?

The more I’m digging into this, the more it appears it either isn’t going to be possible, or it’ll be so complex the likelihood of bricking a nodule somewhere along the way is high. Looks like I may need upgrades firmware in many of the modules. For some reason, it seems hybrid vehicles really got a lot of neutered modules. I’m
Having an issue with the TCU now where it won’t communicate with the Lincoln way app because it’s a 3G TCU an requires an upgrade to a 4G TCU.
