Gas tank size

Just a quick question I’m trying to find an answer for and didn’t see the questions in any of the threads. I ordered my 21 F150 XLT last year and got it in may of 21. I ordered the 36 gallon fuel tank (sticker also list 36 gallon tank) but I can never fit more then 31 gallons in it. I was at 8 miles to empty this morning and only got 31.2 gallons. Any one else have this issue? Any explanation is greatly appreciate it! Thanks.

Zero is not really zero. There is a reserve. I have a 26 gallon, and get about 22.5 or so if I'm showing "empty". That being said, don't push it. It's a lot easier to drive on the top half of the tank than the bottom half!

My gas gauge seems to be correct. Reading empty when I’m that low and full when I add the 31 gallons. I just don’t know if I actually received the 36 gallons. The service sender says there is a reserve but 5 gallons? I asked them to check it out and they said all they would do is look at the sticker.

Thank you. Didn’t know if I really got the 36 gallon tank . My last truck (2013 STX) had a 36 gallon tank and I was sure able to get 35 in there if I needed to!
