FordPass Location

I store my truck at a storage unit. Every week or so I check the app to see how it’s doing. Today it said it was a few hundred miles away in a nation forest. I found this interesting as the gas tank was at the same level as it was the last time I checked. I pulled down to update the app and it updated to the same position. Oh boy, I really would like HUD, but not with all this paperwork.

I drove over and put eyes on my storage space. Yup, still there. A few hours later the app updated the correct location. Yet one more useless feature included with our lives.

According to the app mine lives at a few locations in town other than our garage. An apple air tag is likely more accurate

This happened to me ONCE a couple of years ago. i was traveling overseas and noodling around killing time and checked on my truck, which FordPass showed as a couple of miles away. A little while later when i checked again, whoever had borrowed it had put it back at my house. oh, and the odometer value had not changed.
Never happened again.

It says it's across the street often...
It's obviously having fun with us.
And needs quality time with us.

Here's something I learned when my truck had to be transported back from Moab Utah. The Ford dealership can update the location and mileage to the cloud which shows on FordPass. This led me to believe they had my truck running when they didn't, because they updated the mileage by 1 mile and it showed at the dealership, even though it was completly DOA.

Glad to know I’m not alone with the wandering truck.

Today it reported itself all over town. I just got 6.2.0 last week. Must be a new feature.
