I've been trying to figure this out. From what I've seen, something with the electronic wastegates and some butterfly valve won't allow the turbo spool to be as dominant from the prior model =(

When was the wastegate changed? Is the gen 3 ecoboost (2021+) the first version with this change, or did gen 2 (2017-2020) have it as well?
