I added bit over half quart proper Ford fluid and ran it a few miles
I’m thinking fluid level may need to equalize with torque converter after adding
Fired it up next morning and if it slipped any it was hard to tell
Let it sit for 2 days and again started and put it in gear and I felt it immediately engage in gear
I’m retired so I don’t drive it every day
I’d have to say it’s fixed
I checked it while back and found it be low
It’s supposed to be at the 5 1/2 mark on stick oil 206-230F
It was at 6 1/2 only 1/8” on tip of stick
Yeah it’s a pita
Must take dust pan off cold and take 19mm wrench and make sure you can easily remove cover mine was very tight
It’s a aluminum cap so make sure wrench is on it good
Then just get it tight enough for a test run to warm up fluid
My STX dosen’t have digital read out I can find
Harbor Freight sells a temp reading gun for $28
Must be level both ways
I pumped it in through the dip stick hole
I’ve not tried to check it again
