Dechrome Vinyl Wrap Optimization

For those considering wrapping the chrome bits on their Platinum or other trimmed Gen 14 F-150, here’s a process that I used to optimize the use of my vinyl.

Using the website, Cutlist Optimizer, I inputted the dimensions of my vinyl sheet. It was supposed to be 5’x10’ but came out to 60”x117”. I measured each of the chrome parts on my Carbonized Gray Platinum and included excess to account for gripping the vinyl to stretch, etc.

Here is what the optimizer generated from my measurements and also a pic of how I marked the vinyl for cutting. Not shown in the pic of the vinyl are the door handles as they were added after I took the photo.

Hope this helps anyone considering doing the same.

Custom created color or a standard vinyl?

I know 3M used to have an exact match to the old Ford tuxedo black metallic. I found another brand that was match to the old Ford blue flame metallic.
Nothing I have tried matches rapid red, not even the custom logos I ordered from Etsy seller recommended on forum.

Only if I could find a wrap close to iconic silver. After two different attempts and waiting 3+ weeks, colors were to far off. If anyone has a link to an iconic silver that would be awesome.
