This morning I was loading up the truck for a weekend of kids sporting events. Unfortunately, the fold up chair I had next to the truck fell over and hit the brake light. At first, I wasn't too worried since the chair is pretty light, but after I looked it created about a 4 inch long crack in the brake light. I'm annoyed that I let that happen, and equally annoyed that something so light did so much damage.

Regardless, I now have a crack. I believe it to be mostly cosmetic, but I'm worried about water and the longevity of the light now that it has a crack. Is there any sort of epoxy or tape that I should use?

Pics of the crack:

I’d buy the tinted film from lamin-x and cover it.

Thanks. Any legal concerns with a dark brake light film? Some of them have disclaimers they are for "off road use only".

Get the gun smoke tint and you should be fine.
