cost for bumper to bumper paint job??

I know this question is kinda subjective, but how much would one be looking to pay for a bumper to bumper spray paint job (OEM quality) on a full sized pickup truck?

I honestly have no idea either, but I’m guessing this is loooow.

I would agree that is probably a low estimate as I saw similar costs for small sedans getting full resprays being that much.

OEM is below a high-quality paint shop (as seen on TV like Bitchin Rides) where they completely disassemble the vehicle, sand, prime, paint, cut & buff, and reassemble. Aftermarket uses thicker paint and can spray more paint and clear more layers, which helps with chips and the like. Also provides more ability to cut and buff as vehicle ages.

The labor is FAR more than all the supplies. I would estimate $10,000 - $12,000. If the shop just tapes everything vs. disassemble, then I would estimate $6,000 - $8,000. Two-tone will also add to cost.

Painting costs have gone up significantly in recent years... The materials alone will make your head spin. The paint job for the car in my avatar cost me $6,000 in 2014, and I did much of the work myself. I would estimate $15,000 for a quality job in today's numbers and that size of vehicle. Most guys still think painting a car is $1,500 all day long and that's no longer the case.

I had my front grill paint matched on my 2018 KingRanch by a real professional. It was the tri-coat Platinum White, so it's not a simple task.
I was impressed with his work and asked him "how much would it cost to paint the whole truck Platinum White if someone wanted it"

He didn't hesitate and said $9-10,000
I'm sure it's gone up since then. Everything else has.

The last vehicle I had painted was a 1986 K5 Blazer. Body was in prefect shape, it was just the normal GM peeling. Local shop repainted it for me for $5000 about 23 years ago.

I would imagine that it would be at least double that now!

paint jobs are all about how much prep/masking you have to do. If you're respecting the whole vehicle the same color I'd say an F-150 would run ~8K. If you're pulling it apart and changing color (and doing it right) I'd say more like 15.
