Inflatable bed was a bit jumpy with 2 people on it and it did not seem to insulate from the cold. I think a 3" foam bed would be better, but takes more packing space. Perhaps there is a inflatable open cell foam bed?
I have used my bed tent with my X4S roll-up tonneau cover successfully. Tailgate step helps, but may still want an extra step. A rough doormat on the ground is good to keep out dirt. One problem is not being able to drive (except small moves) with the tent in place. But up and off the ground can avoid un-level areas and pounding in stakes.

Yes, bought one off of Amazon that is specifically designed to go in the back of the truck bed.

I love it, I’ll never camp any other way again. It’s a game changer. One of the most favorite things that I have bought for my truck.

Toss a good blanket under the sheet.

I just bought the one (Napier, I believe) that is on Ford's accessories website with FordPass points. Got a truck air mattress from Amazon to with it. Can't wait to try it out!

I chose against all other tents bc of the them having floors. The rightline tent does not and to me that was a big deal

Mine works good also and the simplicity of putting it up is outstanding.

Have a rubber Ford bed mat and then simply carry a anti fatigue mat for additional cushioning.
