Good for you! We are not whining, but rather having discussions about the new technology.

It's no worse than cameras I've seen on any other vehicle. The only "good" cameras I've seen in a vehicle are from Tesla, and they still aren't as clear as a phone camera or dedicated dashcam.

They aren't meant to record the next blockbuster film, or even indie flick. All that's really required is good color reproduction, night usage, and enough detail that you can make it what is near you. I don't need a 4K view of the tree behind me or car next to me to avoid hitting it.

There was a thread about someone using the sprayer from an Explorer on the tailgate to wash the camera. It was just wired into the control for the front cam sprayer, I think. Might hvae been on another board.

Would be a good product for someone to make a plug and play kit.

I followed and modified that thread for my 2021. I’ve got a jet installed on my tailgate now and have had it in place for the entire winter season up here in Wisconsin. Probably the best modification I’ve made to my truck.

I'll do a write up of it in another thread if there is interest in it.
