That blue USB is digital audio. All HD radio ACM have that since they are intended for B&O cars only. The audio will work fine the chimes will be attenuated a bit though. They do that so they wont blow your ears out with an amplified system

White plug is diversity antenna system. Your existing ACM has it and it isnt used and doesnt need to be used. Its for better digital reception.

Any one care to share a decent forscan config? I now have a fancy AM radio that can do HD FM but I am not smart enough to get a good config done and have it stick.

Jesse helped me with this.

You needs changes to ACM and APIM in forscan. When changing ACM data, first copy your factory as built data in ACM and change your data

ACM: 727-01-01
X0XX-XXXX-XXXX
Leave the rest the same and make that a 0

APIM: 7D0-01-01
XX8X-XXXX-XXXX
Leave the rest the same and make that an 8

Dre is correct in what he sent you

Sorry I would have helped sooner I just saw this I am traveling and am in meetings...

When You go to ACm select load factory as build and change that one thing and write all. youll be good to go. The apim change only adds the on off switch.. after you write the acm it will work even without the apim change.

Thank you for the comment I really appreciate it.

I recently found the HD radio ACM on eBay. I installed it today and coded to suit. You can see the differences between the base ACM and the HD Radio version. That third Fakra (white jack) remains unused but it is for a second (diversity) antenna in some vehicles - not used here.

After removing the plastic top cover (held in with 2x7mm bots and snaps) you see that 4x7mm bolts secure this top plate over the ACM. You then have 4 more 7mm bolts to remove so you can lift out the ACM.

HD Radio ACM at the top. Note the (unused in my truck) USB connection and a third FAKRA jack - also unused in my truck. My USB still passes through the APIM.

My truck has 4 speakers total - 2 6x9 woofers in doors and 2 tweeters in sail panels.

Ford is using a new form factor for these connectors - now square.

New Project - Same Forum Member Though!

Doing this now in my new 2023 F250SD XLT RCLB with no amp and just the door and pillar speakers (4 total). . The ACM is mounted the same as in the new F-150’s. So far, only difference in mine is that that dash trim surround (they redesigned the F250 for 2023) goes all the way across from cluster to the right and down center just past the center screen.

I used the same ACM I had working in my 2022 F-150 XL. That was factory part # ML3T-18K810-FEE. In my new truck I now have both the HD FM and SXM radio parts working great along with the presets. To rule out antenna issues I tried that both on top of ACM bracket (magnetic mount), and now just resting on top of dash pushed forward to glass. By the way, I found no curry (yellow) connector waiting for me behind the ACM so I used an aftermarket SXM antenna with the proper curry-colored jack. Rumor has it that there may be an antenna cable coming from the right-side roof antenna that runs as far as the left side of glovebox (just behind) so I plan to look for it.

I initially tried the same Forscan coding as before, summarized below:

ACM: 727-01-01
X0XX-XXXX-XXXX
Leave the rest the same and make that a 0

APIM: 7D0-01-01
XX8X-XXXX-XXXX
Leave the rest the same and make that a 8 (But I needed to also edit to add in HD radio, see below)

From digging in further here and on Cyanlabs, it appears that the SXM tuners are “pre-X40 SDARS” or just “X40 SDARS”. I think that refers to the the 360L feature (so that’s an X40 SDARS?) we see on the latest vehicles with Sirius XM. I found this detail on the web: ““Ford has a long history as one of America’s favorite automotive brands and we are excited to be introducing SiriusXM with 360L in 2021 model year Ford vehicles with SYNC 4, beginning with the all-new Ford F-150,” Mike Heinonen, VP, Automotive Partnerships, for SiriusXM said in a release.”

So I guess all our vehicles with Sync 4 and Sirius XM have the 360L version?

The APIM requires coding in one and possibly another place now? Livinitup has helped us all by maintaining a great spreadsheet that I found here at the cyanlabs forum.

7D0-01-01. As-built coding was 0801-0002-8064. I edited it to read 2884-0802-8064. (Used the xxxx-x8xx-xxxx for “X40 SDARS”)

7D0-03-03. As-built coding was 0000-0000-00DD. That “0” means ”No SDARS or X40 Chipset”. I had to change that 0 to 2 which means “TSDARSC x2” with other choices of 4,6,8,A,C and E all “reserved”. Line now edited to read 0000-0002-00DD

I resolved my presets-inop issue once I looked at the APIM under “module configuration” and changed things: mixed mode presets to “5” and auto store / presets mode to “disabled/mixed mode”.

I have a 2023 302A and would like to add HD Radio.

Is ML3T-18K810-FEE still the ACM to use for 2023 model year F150?

Also, I have an active SirusXM subscription. Will it be impacted if I change the ACM?
