First somewhat long haul on my 21 plat... I have BC 2.0 prep (still waiting for that damn update). but in the mean time i am using the hands-on assist.
as far as I can tell it does its job, just every 20 - 30 secs or so will ping me to keep my hands on.
this usually auto turns on on highways when I set cruise control...and for those of you that have it, it will show an icon with a steering wheel and hands on it.
usually, when this is engaged, lane centering is pretty spot on, and with the exception of a few extras missing (overtaking, hands free etc) its pretty much bluecruise.
EXCEPT today, my assist completely stopped working randomly on the drive...
symptoms:
no hands on icon on the left gauge.
lane keeping was CRAP, it would definitely act like a drunk man driving.
the lane keep icon (the small icon that pops up when you enable lane keeping) was definitely green...so according to the truck, it was reading lanes fine..usually when lane keeping is spotty, it goes orange > red...but in my case it was still green.
No clue if a HW issue or normal
