Can you see Google/Apple Maps in the instrument cluster of the Escape? This dash looks just like my wife's 2024 Escape dash with the same 13.2" screen which has wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto and is Sync 4.
Same steering wheel and buttons too.
Yes, both my F150 and her Escape show Google Maps. Can you see Google/Apple Maps in the instrument cluster of the Escape?
I meant like the actual map on the instrument cluster, not the directions when you are approaching an exitYes, both my F150 and her Escape show Google Maps.
I don't use Android Auto in her Escape so not sure how to get it to show on the instrument panel. I am driving it tomorrow to detail it so I will cycle through the options on the IP to see if the map shows. Maybe because I was sitting in the driveway it showed the turn onto the street.I meant like the actual map on the instrument cluster, not the directions when you are approaching an exit
They've essentially said it's not sync while going on to describe sync. That makes no sense. The difference is that they're using android as the OS and baking some of android's apps in natively, but at the same time the mach-e has similar apps and is sync. It's got youtube and games as well. This is supposed to be an all new system called "Ford Digital Experience" found in the 2024 Nautilus and now the 2025 Explorer, not related to Sync4

Over this garbage below, yes, absolutely. And I will die on this hill.
You'll have a friend. While it feels less "manly" to have a turn knob I absolutely hate the stupid stick shifter they put in with their stupid gimmick to lay it down (but only while parked).Over this garbage below, yes, absolutely. And I will die on this hill.
This is an Explorer; they never had a folding lever, just the rotating knob as in this picture. It ain't the stupid folding noise maker, so it is beautiful
I think the point is a lot of people hate the folding shifter on the F-150 and want the knob to free up the space wasted by a gimmick. This is an Explorer; they never had a folding lever, just the rotating knob as in this picture.
