You probably right, it probably will break down, and I have been somewhat angry about what happened. A chevy 2500 is not made of vibranium or something.
Although, I don't think anyone in my shoes would be lining up to buy another f-150. I know you guys are partial to these trucks, mine was an...
Yeah so we picked up a shard of glass or plexiglass at the storage yard picking up the trailer. I recall thinking "what else could possibly go wrong today?" Lol
Wow, sorry to hear that. Your insurance covered it though? Will definitely be getting a fire extinguisher in my truck, and in my trailer. A good Samaritan did try to put my truck out with a small fire extinguisher, but this fire grew very quickly, and it was too late.
Your absolutely right, I've repaired several fire damaged cars, but they had all been manufactured in the 60's. They've all been either fuel, or wiring. I feel terrible for Jay Leno too!
I really feel traumatized by it . Also, Interest rate on my Ford was 0%, now I'll be stuck paying 7%!! I'm getting a low mile used 2018 Duramax 2500 and will never have a truck problem again
I thought my truck had 2 alternators, and now there is only one on the engine. I scraped this off the ground with a shovel, I'm not sure if it was an alternator or not, but all of the other engine accessories were still intact
It absolutely is, my lawyer and insurance rep recommended I take it to the dealer first, but I now already have a claim going. My insurance is going to have an investigator look at it as well.
I did take it to the dealer, I really thought they would at least ask if I was OK, and try to help me. The trailer was 4000 lbs and empty, the towing capacity was advertised at 14000.
My Ecoboost had 12,000 miles on it, idk what happened. Smoking, then pulled over, and things started blowing up. Night mare. Do not buy a new truck from Ford. The dealer Phil Long told me to get it off of thier property. Only asked me what I did to it, which I only changed the antenna.
