The rear camera button on the dash stopped turning on the rear camera. The camera still works in reverse. But when the truck is stopped and in park or in drive the camera won’t turn on when I push the button. Anyone else experience this problem?

During the last OTA update, 2 modules did not update, the IPMA and the steering control module. I called Ford and they had me call the dealer and schedule a tech to come out, the tech ran the update using the FRDS software and corrected the issue at no cost to me.

That must have happened to mine too. What’s the steering control module do? I suppose I can’t steer if it’s fucked up?

Yes, that button no longer functions on my 2021 F150. The dealer states that there should have been an OTA update in November 2023 to resolve the issue. So far nothing has been received and it still doesn't work.

Thanks for replying. That must be what the problem is with mine, too. Did you notice any other features that broke with that last update?

Mine’s the same. Lost the button when the OM update came out a few months ago. Never got the APIM update that was supposed to come out in November and fix it.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

I found a TSB for this issue from Dec. 12th.
It mentions "vehicles equipped with minor feature code J3KAB".
Does anyone know what that means? Want to know what this is before I share this with my dealer. Mine's a pretty loaded 502A, so I assume this will apply, but want to be sure.
Had my truck in this week for another issue and this one, and they told me the original SSM was updated to say that Ford wasn't going to fix the camera button, then found this. So frustrating.

Mine is a 2021 XLT with 502a, too.

Was that TSB the solution?

Frustrating story. My dealer won't fix it now that I've gone over my mileage and am out of bumper to bumper warranty. I brought the issue up before I was out of warranty, but since the TSB is dated after my warranty ran out, they won't do it for me unless I pay $180. I called customer care, and then they offered to do it for $80. I think I'll just wait and hopefully it comes OTA.
